Julie Dream Wide
***Movement Playshop***
Julie Brannen’s lifelong journey with movement has brought her experiences within creative, performative, and therapeutic practices. She facilitates an embodied, whole-hearted, and compassionate practice of fiercely approaching vulnerability in order to release emotional blocks, re-pattern limiting beliefs, access inherent creativity, and empower an internal source of healing, transformation, and abundance. Julie graduated with a Master of Arts in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling as well as Graduate Laban Certificate in Movement Analysis from Columbia College Chicago in 2013. Since then, she has practiced as a dance/movement therapist, teaching artist, and professional dancer with various organizations. She believes whole-heartedly in the power of movement to transform and heal.
Dennis Dream wide
***Sound Journey***
Dennis Fredericks on Flute
Flutetopia is a cosmic, meditative, and peaceful sound journey on Native American Flutes.
Denis can be seen playing the flute all over Chicago. His melodies flow from the drum circles of Foster and Montrose beach, to the stage, performing solo and with Windstruck. He also spends time singing and playing guitar and performing with Electric Medicine in Chicago and all over the midwest.
Raj Dream Wide
***Dj Activation***
DJ Amritaji (Raj Inder Dhillon) has been spinning sacred psychedelic worldbeat music since 2007. She spent the last decade playing at electronic music events and festivals, bringing her unique style of weaving the traditional music of Eastern and indigenous cultures with electronic dance music to venues across the continental United States. She fell in love with Ecstatic Dance in 2010 and became eager to bring the practice to her hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She founded Ecstatic Dance Milwaukee in early 2016 and quickly completed Ecstatic Dance Leadership training with the founders of Ecstatic Dance Oakland. Her passion is for creating sacred dance journeys through bridging traditional and modern dance music; to offer her hometown a sonic space for healing, free and authentic expression, and fun! She continues to expand the Ecstatic Dance community, and to spread her love for Ecstatic Dance across the US. Experiencing Amritaji’s Ecstatic Dance sets will get your body and soul grooving! { }
See you at Ecstatic.
