Saffire Bouchelion has been an Ecstatic Dance DJ across the US, including Kalani on the Hawaiian Big Island, and at Desa Seni in Bali for more than 25 years. He is a 1st Degree Black Belt Nia instructor who has been passionately practicing Nia for 20+ years. He is a professional performer and musician who has been featured on on 48 CD’s, and has opened for several international acts, including Cheryl Crow, Crash Test Dummies, The Paul Winter Consort, and Barenaked Ladies.

For the past few years it has been his practice to offer a HandPan Soundbath at the end of my DJ offerings. The Vibrations of the HandPan and the beautiful sonic field that it generates is is pure magic. The sound is the alchemy of metal, presenting as water, presenting as air. Once the vocals are added, there is nowhere else to go other than through the center of your soul and into communion with the wholeness of existence itself. It is always an honor for Safire to offer this beauty to the world~

Saffire co-founded two experimental dance companies in 1986 and 1989, and has performed with Danelle Hellander Dance Company and Mergence Dance Theater. For seven years he was co-director of the Ecstatic Choir, five at Naropa University where he was also a musical accompanist for dance and movement classes, and taught Drumming/Embodying Rhythm classes for the continuing education program.
